Yet another goon shoots police officers in Philly.

What are the odds that the shooter already has a long rap sheet, and has been given every break possible by the city’s George Soros-sponsored, criminal-loving and police-hating District, Larry Krasner?

As we have previously reported, even when the city began programs to clean up and improve West Philadelphia, the locals rebelled, afraid that a nicer neighborhood would encourage more white people to move there. But, not to worry, things like this might keep them out:

Two police officers shot in West Philadelphia

Both officers were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Two Philadelphia police officers are in the hospital after being shot early this morning in West Philadelphia, officials said Saturday.

The officers, from the city’s 19th District, were responding to reports of a man with a gun on the 100 block of North 52nd Street when they received “significant gunfire,” Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin J. Bethel said at a news conference.

The 100 block of North 52nd Street isn’t the nicest in the city, but it’s hardly the worst. A typical rowhouse neighborhood, there are a couple of vacant lots, along with some rowhomes being turned into storefronts: a day care center, a nail salon, and a bodega are on that block. Some of the homes have been maintained and modified, with some apparent ‘remuddling,’ destroying the architectural character, and some not so, showing visible signs of deterioration in the eaves and the like.

A 40-year-old officer was shot three times, Bethel said. A 33-year-old officer was shot 12 times. Both were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where they are in surgery.

Two more police officers were shot at when they approached the house, Bethel said. Police called in a SWAT team.

“We were able to locate this individual in a tree, and we were able to take him into custody,” Bethel said. The man was found with a shotgun and two handguns, one of which he’d taken from a police officer after shooting him.

There’s a little more at the story, and it will probably be updated throughout the day.

WPVI-TV reported:

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of North 52nd Street shortly after 12:20 a.m. for a report of a man with a gun on a porch.

The officers arrived around 30 minutes later and were shot soon after stepping foot onto the porch.

Translation: the ‘suspect’ was already there for some criminal purpose, armed with a shotgun and pistol.

At least the ‘suspect’ has been apprehended. We’ll be waiting to see how the District Attorney tries to find how the police officers violated the ‘suspect’s’ rights.
