Denial is not just a river in Egypt Jill Biden says she's still clueless about her husband's condition

The Democrats used a picture of a smiling, robust-looking Joe Biden in their tweet proclaiming President Biden the winner of the debate, but their problem is that he was exposed as not robust, but a faltering and confused elderly man who is visibly sinking into dementia. Even The New York Times couldn’t hide the truth:

A Fumbling Performance, and a Panicking Party

President Biden’s shaky, halting debate performance has Democrats talking about replacing him on the ticket.

President Biden hoped to build fresh momentum for his re-election bid by agreeing to debate nearly two months before he is to be formally nominated. Instead, his halting and disjointed performance on Thursday night prompted a wave of panic among Democrats and reopened discussion of whether he should be the nominee at all.

Well, that was then, and this is now, slightly over two years later, and everything has been settled out. Millions of words have been written, including more than a few on this site, as well as Jake Tapper’s and Alex Thompson’s tell-nothing book claiming that they just didn’t know.

We all know what happened: Mr Biden finally dropped out, then-Vice President Kamala Harris Emhoff was handed the nomination, and she lost the election to then-former President Donald Trump.

But there’s one person who claims that she didn’t know what happened, and is still mystified by the whole thing:

Jill Biden Says She ‘Doesn’t Have an Explanation’ for Joe Biden’s ‘Surreal’ Debate Performance: ‘Was He Drugged?’

Jill Biden shared her thoughts on husband Joe’s contentious 2024 debate performance in a new interview with Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

The former first lady, 75, appeared on the Tuesday, September 1, episode of Jesse’s podcast “Dinner’s on Me,” where she got candid about Joe’s behavior while up against Donald Trump.

“That moment, I can’t explain it. I thought about it. I’ve thought about it so much and at that moment – I wrote this in the book – that I thought Joe was having a stroke,” Jill said about the jaw-dropping incident, while also referencing her recent memoir, View From the East Wing.

“Then when he got off stage and he was checked out by the doctors, and the docs said he’s fine, and then we went on that night to do three different events,” Jill recalled.

It seems appropriate to note that there was an ad for a treatment for toenail fungus between the previous paragraph and the nest one, or at least here was when I opened the original.

“Three events. And here we get on Air Force One for our last event. We fly to North Carolina, get off the plane at 3:00 in the morning full band playing, lights, hundreds of people. We’re walking on the tarmac shaking hands. A week or 10 days later, he’s at the NATO conference,” the educator explained.

Ahhh, “the educator explained.” Our previous First Lady is to be referred to as Dr Biden, because she holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Delaware. I confess to not know what a doctorate in educational leadership requires, but most people would think that earning a doctoral degree ought to mean that someone isn’t just plain clueless. Conservatives had been noticing President Biden’s cognitive slipping throughout his four-year term, even though the credentialed media refused to report on it until after the disastrous debate. We saw the clips of him losing his place, of wandering off, of his vacant stares on social media, primarily Twitter — I still refuse to call it 𝕏 — or at least we did after Elon Musk bought it and ended most, though not all, censorship there.

But surely the President’s wife had to have noticed that yeah, her husband was slipping, and slipping badly. If she didn’t notice, then the University of Delaware needs to claw back Dr Biden’s degree, because she is too unobservant to be a doctor of anything.

Jill revealed it felt “surreal” to “think back” on the debate, as she’s still wondering what really went down.

“Like, what happened? What happened? And I can’t explain it, and I know Joe had been traveling,” she sighed. “I know he was at debate camp. I was out on the trail, so I wasn’t with him at all before the debate. I was campaigning.”

“To this day, I don’t have an explanation,” Jill said. “20 years from now, when I’m a crispy critter, historians are still gonna be like, ‘What happened? Was it he was drugged? Was it a medical emergency?’ I don’t think we’ll ever know.”

Unless there is an autopsy performed on the former President when he goes to his eternal reward, we won’t have any officially reported diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or any other dementia disease, and even then, such might still be kept private.

Alex Thompson, writing for Axios, reported, two days after the debate:

  • From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours.
  • Outside of that time range or while traveling abroad, Biden is more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued, aides told Axios.

The President’s aides knew, but his wife did not? There are only two possible explanations:

  • Either Dr Biden is essentially unobservant and clueless; or
  • Dr Biden is lying through her scummy teeth, all to try to pimp a few more sales of her failing book.

Nate Silver had the explanation: what few sales the book had were astroturfed pre-orders, but no one in the real world — political reporters do not qualify as being in the “real world ” — was interested in shelling out the $32.00 list price, currently available on Amazon for $18.10 to read a book in which the ‘author’ revealed in advance that everything in it was a lie, including “and” and “the”.

In one way, I get it: a wife will naturally want to defend her husband, and Dr Biden has been doing that. But there’s a difference between a wife in a reasonably private setting doing so, and a former First Lady spewing things which are demonstrably false and exposed to the public. She might have done better had she just told the truth.

  1. Democrats lie. About everything. All the time. As was said about Lillian Hellman, lying is so endemic to democrats it includes the words “and” and “the.” I realize it has become a tired, shopworn cliche, but the term “gaslighting” is the democrats’ main tactic in avoiding responsibility for their actions. The sad fact is that far too many people not only fall for the tactic, but they vigorously defend the gaslighters!
