On Sunday, I saw a tweet from Wall Street Apes pointing out a “reparations” program to help black families buy homes:

A new “reparations” program is launching in Germantown, Philadelphia to help Black families buy homes

– Must identify as Black
– Only black residents are eligible for the grants
– $500,000 is being funded over 10 years
– This is a race-restricted down-payment program being funded by a collaboration between Green Street Friends and birdSEED (Involved in Housing Justice grants)
– Must be a first-time homebuyer
– Household income ≤ $150,000

Just IMAGINE if there were grands being given out to ‘white families only’ to own homes….

To which I responded:

“Must identify as black”? So Rachel Dolezal would be eligible?

And on Tuesday, in The Philadelphia Inquirer:

Hannah Gann told the truth about her race and heritage after members of the Philly Educators for Palestine met with her and questioned her background.

A Philadelphia teacher is being called the “Palestinian Rachel Dolezal” after being caught lying about her background — a deception that has stirred strong emotions in education and racial justice organizing circles.

I am thoroughly amused. 🙂

Hannah Gann, a veteran Philadelphia School District educator, has claimed at times to be Palestinian and Black, and was so outspoken a mobile billboard once parked outside her school calling her “Philadelphia’s Leading Antisemite.”

But Gann, it turns out, is white and Jewish, and lied about her identity for years.

“Members met with Hannah and questioned her about her background on Thursday and after an hour of discussion, Hannah finally admitted she lied,” the Racial Justice Organizing Committee and Philly Educators for Palestine said in a statement. Gann had been a visible member of both groups. “We asked her to publicly acknowledge that she is a white woman of Jewish heritage and an Israeli settler family.”

Not just white, not just a Jooooo, but an Israeli settler family! 🙂 🙂

I’m sorry, but what? Stevie Wonder could have seen that Miss Gann wasn’t black! Perhaps her friends and associates were using the “one drop rule?”

But, I suppose in a society in which Will Thomas and Brayden Fleming and Abraham Delgado and Tim McBride can claim that they’re women, and have a bunch of other people believe them, the lovely Miss Gann’s claims seemed reasonable enough.

Reporter Kristen Graham continued to tell readers how upset and betrayed her now-former colleagues were, and how organizers said that Miss Gann’s deceptions cause “disproportionate harm” to the real Palestinians in their group.

Would those be the real Palestinians who never picked up a rifle and went to Gaza to fight for their cause? It seems to me that they have the same “privilege” Sharif El-Mekki, a prominent Philadelphia educator and founder of the Center for Black Educator Development, said Miss Gann has, using their freedom of speech and of the press, and their right of peaceable assembly, because they are here, in the United States, and not in Gaza, Judea, or Samaria.

Despite her identity deceptions, Miss Graham’s report tells us that Miss Gann did work for the organization’s goals, and at least thus far, no one has claimed that she is a deep cover agent for Mossad. And if it was a Mossad special operation, it was designed to show just how boneheadedly stupid the pro-Palestinian activists really are.
