The credentialed media amuse me greatly , and none of them more than The Philadelphia Inquirer. After an article on Monday attempting to normalize transgenderism, which included a hyperlink to the newspaper spending “several months chronicling the lives of two transgender women making their way in rural Dauphin County,” Tuesday saw the editors tweeting about having given OpEd space to Rann Miller, an educator and freelance writer based in South Jersey, telling us, in the words of John Prine singing about Dear Abby, “You are what you are and you ain’t what you ain’t.”

Sorry about that convoluted sentence, but I missed the article last Friday!

Hannah Gann’s deceit makes the work of Black and brown justice activists harder

If Gann had truly been committed to the justice movement, she would have known the troubling history of white infiltrators in Black organizations who attempted to sabotage the struggle for freedom.

A few months ago, I attended a Black history workshop in the city with educator-activists from around the country. That’s where I met Hannah Gann. At the workshop, she shared with some and reiterated to others that she was Palestinian. She also claimed to be Black.

No one questioned her. Even if one had doubts — and I did — it never crossed my mind that someone would lie about that.

We’ve since learned she did, and has been telling falsehoods about her identity to her friends, family, fellow activists, and — worst of all — the students and families she taught at the Workshop School, a project-based Philadelphia School District high school.

I had tweeted and then written about the lovely Miss Gann’s exposed deception, noting that even Stevie Wonder could have seen that Miss Gann wasn’t black! Perhaps her friends and associates were using the “one drop rule?”

After a few paragraphs falsely claiming that Israel’s actions in Gaza constitute genocide, Mr Miller continued:

If Gann had truly been committed to the justice movement, she would have known the troubling history of white infiltrators in Black organizations who attempted to sabotage the struggle for freedom. The most famous of these efforts was COINTELPRO. The response of the Racial Justice Organizing Committee and Philly Educators for Palestine, in their joint statement, is to consider her just such an infiltrator, and they’ve cut ties with her.

Yet today we have males pretending to be women, including people like Will “Lia” Thomas, Brayden “Blaire” Fleming, and Abraham “A B Hernandez” Delgado competing in women’s sports and using the differences that make a difference between males and females to dominate competitions. Mr Thomas even went from being a very much middle-ranked men’s collegiate swimmer to number one among women.

The newspaper had continually defended Representative Tim “Sarah” McBride (D-DE), saying that those who refer to him with male pronouns and honorifics are ‘misgendering‘ him, rather than just telling the truth.

So, I have to ask: if Mr McBride can decide that he’s a woman, and the Inquirer specifically, and the credentialed media in general, go right along with it, how is Miss Gann’s claims that she is black and Palestinian qualitatively different? If Mr Thomas can ‘identify’ as a woman, be called a woman, have people punished for not calling him a woman, and accepted as a woman by most of our good friends on the left, why can’t Miss Gann’s claims about who she is be accepted?

Conservatives are at least consistent: we know that Miss Gann is not black and ‘Palestinian,’ but the race and ethnicity she was born, just as we understand that the ‘transgendered’ are the sex they were born, rather than the sex they claim to be.
