Creepy softball coach groomed teen player, even after mom tried to intervene: cops

A Georgia teacher allegedly groomed a 15-year-old girl whose softball team she coached, and continued preying on the minor even after the teen’s mother tried to intervene, according to a warrant.
Katie Elizabeth McDevitt, 28, allegedly groomed the teen while coaching her on the Georgia Strike softball team, sending her romantic messages and touching her in ways that made her uncomfortable, 11 Alive reported.
The creepy coach, who also taught at a Christian academy, repeatedly committed inappropriate behavior towards the teen during a period between Feb. 1 and Sept. 22, investigators said in an affidavit obtained by the outlet.
There’s more at the original, including the fact that the teacher and coach were immediately discharged, and that the victim was not a student at Loganville Christian Academy, where Miss McDivitt taught, and that the school is unaware of any allegations concerning students at the school.
The story did not conceal the sex of the victim, to conceal the fact that the alleged grooming was homosexual in nature, something the credentialed media frequently do.
If all of the facts in the New York Post story are accurate, then Miss McDivitt was both stupid and obsessed with the softball player in question. Anyone with an IQ above room temperature should have realized that, when there was parental intervention, the jig was up and immediately ceased all attempts at contacting the student, but the ‘suspect’ allegedly continued; that sounds like obsession to me.
I have to admit it: I loved Miss McDivitt’s mugshot! There’s nothing that screams “Oh, f(ornicate), I have f(ornicated) up now!” more than the accused’s expression.
