My good friend and sometime blog pinch hitter William Teach noted the Associated Press story, “ICE arrests jumped to nearly 50,000 in July, the highest monthly total of Trump’s second term.” That’s great, but let’s do the math. 50,000 arrests, and hopefully deportations, times 12 equals just 600,000 per year. In the 30 months remaining in President Trump’s term, that works out to 1,500,000, which would make a small dent in the population of illegal immigrants in our country. If we assume that J D Vance becomes the next President, and he continues President Trump’s immigration enforcement policies for two full terms, 96 months, that has an additional 4,800,000 illegals arrested and hopefully deported, a nice number, but still just a fraction of the number of illegals already here.

The real solution is for real Americans to shun companies that employ illegal immigrants: cost them profits, at which point they’ll get rid of the illegals or go out of business, and the illegals will self deport. Yes, we need actual enforcement of our laws against hiring illegals, enforcement which sends the violators to prison. A few employers spending quality time Leavenworth will get the others to comply quickly.

But the American people are the ones who need to do the job. That means when you walk into a Seven/Eleven and see an obviously Hispanic or otherwise foreign clerk, assume that he is here illegally, walk out without buying anything, and let the company know why you didn’t buy anything. You must discriminate!

Yes, we need to be prosecuting the employers, but there are nowhere near enough investigators and prosecutors to prosecute more than a tiny minority of them. But there are 300 million real Americans who can choose where to spend their dollars, and that becomes a huge enforcement group.

Are you willing to be an [insert slang term for the anus here]? Because that is what it will take to rid this country of illegal immigrants. With the uncounted millions of illegals here, only real Americans being [insert plural slang term for the anus here] can get that job done. We have a huge illegal immigrant population precisely because other people have been nice guys, other people, including many who say they oppose illegal immigration and voted for Donald Trump were not willing to do the hard thing, the [insert slang term for the anus here] thing when it comes to personal action.

There’s more. If you need a new roof or want a new driveway poured, are you willing to pay more to utilize a contractor who will use only American and legal immigrant labor? There are thousands upon thousands of roofing and concrete construction and other contractors who cut corners by using illegals to do some or all of the work; are you willing to pay more to get things done properly?

We have simply accepted illegal immigrants for so long, claiming that we want that stopped but being nice guys on an individual basis that we have de facto accepted illegal immigration as part of our society and economy. We have taken the easy way out, basically telling Other People to do the work for us, and allowed the problem to fester and grow, and look what it has gotten us.

So, be the [insert slang term here]! Be the American who gets things done! Because if you are not willing to do that, why should anyone take you seriously when you say you want illegal immigration stopped?
