I have said it before: when we annex Canada, we need to leave Ontario and Quebec out of it!
“Responds by Hitting a Deep Three”: WNBA World Reacts As Sophie Cunningham Gets Booed in Toronto

The Toronto Tempo hosted the Indiana Fever on Tuesday. The Fever got the better of the home team, who were looking to get back to winning ways after a tough stretch of 10 straight losses. Unfortunately for Toronto, the streak extended to 11 as the Fever won their fifth straight game.
While there were many key contributors for the Fever, the Toronto crowd seemed focused on one opposition player more than others. Sophie Cunningham was the recipient of a special welcome from the Tempo fans and was repeatedly booed over the course of the game.
During one instance in the first quarter, the crowd jeered when Cunningham received the ball. She got fouled and was awarded free throws. While she converted the first, she missed the next and the boos turned to cheers. However, around 20 seconds later, Cunningham was once again booed but responded with a deep three.
Fans online came in support of the Fever star.
So, why boo Sophie Cunningham? She’s not the leading scorer on the Indiana Fever, and she isn’t even a starter: Lexie Hull starts in that wing guard position, though Miss Cunningham is usually the first player off the bench. No, she wasn’t jeered because of her contributions on the basketball court, but because she dared to say that young girls should be protected from biological men claiming to be women, and that they should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports.
Then she joined in a karaoke performance of Toby Keith’s Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue Clayton’s Country Bar in Indianapolis, following a victory over the Dallas Wings, something which might not appeal to our neighbors to the north.
Still, a lot of people wanted to watch Miss Cunningham play! The Indiana Fever are the biggest draws in the WNBA, and the Tempo, who normally play in Coca Cola Arena, with a basketball capacity of 8,210, moved this match to ScotiaBank Arena and had 19,300 fans in attendance. Yeah, most of the draw is Caitlin Clark, but not enough people were pissed off enough over Miss Cunningham to not go to the game to prevent it from being a sellout.
The Canadian team? They’re an expansion team, and have a poor record, 10-24 following the loss to Indiana, now 24-12, and in third place in the league. Not at all bad for a team which split its first ten games, 5-5, which means that the team are 19-7 since then.
Now the Tempo have introduced their new, “non-binary” mascot. It ain’t just Miss Cunningham making political statements!
So yeah, we can annex Canada, but leave Ontario and Quebec out of it. We’ll take British Columbia, but no, we can’t let those lefties vote.
