Crazy People Are Dangerous If you have one mental illness, does that make a second mental illness more probable?

Those of my (too few) readers who also read Robert Stacy McCain’s website, The Other McCain, will be familiar with his frequently used article title, Crazy People Ara Dangerous, but it seems very appropriate in this case. The euphemistically-described “LGBTQ+” Philadelphia activist Kendall Stephens has been charged with rape, involuntary assault, unlawful contact with minors, and indecent assault against people less than 13 years old, among other offenses:

Prominent trans LGBTQ+ activist charged with rape of minors in Philadelphia

A prominent LGBTQ+ activist in Philadelphia has been charged with allegedly raping two minors.Kendall Stephens, 37, was arrested Monday and charged with rape, involuntary assault, unlawful contact with minors, and indecent assault against people less than 13 years old, among other offenses, court documents revealed.

The exact details of the allegations against Stephens were not immediately available.

Stephens — who is a trans woman — had a preliminary arraignment in Philadelphia municipal court Monday evening, the court records showed.

She is due back before Judge Vincent W. Furlong on Dec. 29.

When I checked The Philadelphia Inquirer’s website for Kendall Stephens at 2:42 PM EST, there was still no story on this arrest or the charges against Mr Stephens. I do not know if the newspaper’s diligent reporters are digging for more information, or they are looking for the most politically correct way to word it. 🙂 I’m going to write the rest of this story below the fold.

WPVI-TV had more, and like the story from the New York Post, uses the feminine references to refer to the accused. In accordance with our Stylebook, The First Street Journal refers to the ‘transgendered’ by their real sex, not their imaginary one, but we do not correct the references in the direct quotes of others.

Prominent LGBTQ+ activist in Philadelphia accused of raping 2 young children: Sources

Kendall Stephens first came to Action News in August 2020 after she was attacked in the city’s Point Breeze neighborhood.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A prominent LGBTQ+ activist in Philadelphia was arrested on Monday after authorities allege she raped two young boys.

The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General filed the charges against 37-year-old Kendall Stephens.

The state Attorney General’s office filed the charges because Mr Stephens is a friend, campaign supporter and helped Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner launch his LGBTQ+ Advisory Board. The state normally takes cases in which there could be conflicts of interest with local prosecutors.

Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit received reports of sexual assaults on two minor children in September 2023.

Stephens is charged with two counts of Rape, Indecent Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Corruption of Minors, and other related crimes.

A judge set her bail at $250,000 and her next court appearance is scheduled for December 29.

Further down:

The prominent LGBTQ+ activist came to Action News in August of 2020 after she was attacked in her Point Breeze neighborhood. She says she was targeted by a violent group for being a trans woman.

The Inquirer’s story on that attack stated that Mr Stephens was attacked, on August 24, 2020, inside his Point Breeze home, after a “crowd” forced their way inside. The newspaper stated that they “forced their way into Stephens’ home and punched, scratched, and clawed at her while calling her a ‘tranny’ and other derogatory names,” according to Mr Stephens. At least one person has speculated that the assault was based on accusations of Mr Stephens’ activities, not just discrimination against the ‘transgendered.’

I find it interesting that the Point Breeze neighborhood is where Josh Kruger, another homosexual activist, also lived and was murdered, allegedly by a male whom he had been having a sexual relationship with when the killer was only 15-years-old. Mr Kruger was a minor celebrity in Philly, and had a lot of friends, including Mayor Jim Kenney. Among those who followed him on Twitter were District Attorney Larry Krasner, the District Attorney’s OfficeInquirer editorial writer Daniel Pearson, and CNN’s Jake Tapper. I suspect, but do not know, that Messrs Kruger and Stephens knew each other.

If the stories about him were true, Mr Kruger as a chickenhawk, an older homosexual male who prefers younger males as sexual partners. The term pedophile is thrown around, often carelessly, to refer to anyone who seeks sexual contact with someone under the age of consent, which is 16 in the Keystone State. A more precise labelling for Mr Kruger would be ephebophile, with a primary sexual interest in mid-to-late adolescents, generally ages 15 to 19.

But Mr Stephens? “(P)sychiatric diagnostic criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13,” which would make, if the accusations are true, Mr Stephens a pedophile.

He is, of course, innocent until proven guilty.

And Messrs Kruger and Stephens are both crazy!

The American Psychiatric Association listed homosexuality as a mental illness, until they got subsumed by political correctness.  Me? I still believe that they’re crazy! And “gender dysphoria”? Sorry, but if you look down and see you have a dick, but you think that somehow you’re really a chick, you are crazy, loony tunes, coocoo for Cocoa Puffs.

And yes, I stole that last description from my good friend Mr McCain!

Mr Stephens has been accused of some serious crimes, but, as I pointed out above, he is legally innocent until proven guilty. Nevertheless, he’s very much a self-declared ‘transgender’ person, and that means that he’s crazy, just plain nuts. And crazy people are dangerous.

It’s 3:31 PM EST, and I’m just about to post this. As of that time, The Philadelphia Inquirer still has nothing on a story that is at least twelve hours old.

The Inquirer finally figured out how to report this story:

Philly LGBTQ+ advocate charged with sexually assaulting two children

Kendall Stephens was jailed Monday on charges including rape, indecent assault, and unlawful contact with minors, the records show.

by Chris Palmer | Tuesday, December 19, 2023 | 4:48 PM EST

An advocate for Philadelphia’s transgender community has been charged with sexually abusing two children, one of whom was just 9 years old, according to court records.

Kendall Stephens, 37 — who served on a volunteer LGBTQ+ advisory committee for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and was a frequent presence at rallies and political events — was jailed Monday on charges including rape, indecent assault, and unlawful contact with minors, the records show.

Note that a story which was available at around 2:00 AM was not covered by the Inky until fourteen hours later.

Further down:

Stephens is accused of abusing two boys, ages 9 and 14, in a pattern of behavior that lasted at least several months over the past year or so, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The document says Stephens performed oral sex on the younger boy on at least three occasions, telling the boy he couldn’t tell anyone about it or he would be “locked up.”

The affidavit says Stephens also abused the older boy, introducing him to sex toys, encouraging him to use them, and showing him explicit photos.

The police investigation into Mr Stephens’ alleged actions began in September, after a relative of one of the victims reported it to law enforcement; it has taken three months for the Philadelphia Police Department to build sufficient evidence to make an arrest.

Note the wording in the rest of the story. Though the newpaper reported that Mr Stephens was “an outspoken advocate for the transgender community,” and that he was the victim of an assault by a group “shouting anti-trans slurs,” reporter Chris Palmer was careful not to state specifically that the accused is himself transgender. The news report uses the feminine pronouns throughout. I guess that Mr Palmer did the best he could

Stephens was an outspoken advocate for the transgender community, and had facilitated support groups at the William Way LGBT Community Center. She was assaulted in 2020 in her Point Breeze home by a group of women and men shouting anti-trans slurs. One of the attackers pleaded guilty earlier this year.

After that assault, Stephens went on to push for updates to the state’s hate crime statute and often worked with city prosecutors on investigations that involved victims from the LGBTQ+ community.

According to reports, the suspect does not have a defense attorney listed, and has yet to make bail. I would note at this point how Cody Monroe Heron, the (alleged) numbskull who road raged against a delivery driver, who jumped on the trunk of her car, stomped out the rear window, showering kids in the back seat with shattered safety glass, had an initial bail set at $2,500,000, which was later upped to $4,000,000, even though he did not seriously injure anyone, yet Mr Stephens, who, again allegedly, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old and a 9-year-old boy, has his bail set at $250,000.
