Once again, the media wrote the story in a way to not specify that the victims were boys, but there was no way to hide the truth due to the nature of the allegations!

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A former teacher and coach is accused of providing players with pills and alcohol and sexually assaulting them.
He faces child sexual assault charges and is under investigation in several areas from the Charlotte area to Myrtle Beach.
Police in Gaffney, South Carolina, arrested Maxwell Sidney Fletcher, 30, of Mount Holly, on Friday where he was served with multiple felony charges.
He was extradited to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Monday and was charged with the statutory sex offense of a child under 15. There will likely be more charges out of Lincoln County, officials said.
“Sometimes hourly, the scope of this investigation is getting larger,” Lincoln County Det. David Hendrix said.
Mr Fletcher was an assistant coach for the boy’s soccer team at East Lincoln High School in fall 2023, and the allegations are that when he provided pills and alcohol to some players, and then sexually assaulted them; some of the assaults occurred during away games in which the team traveled. He was also a teacher and a soccer coach at W.C. Friday Middle School in Dallas, in Gaston County, NC. Telling us that the coach allegedly assaulted some of his players was the only indication in the story that the assaults were homosexual in nature.
Another report stated that Mr Fletcher “is currently under investigation by multiple counties for alleged sex offenses, which authorities believed to have occurred across various neighboring jurisdictions.”
How, I have to ask, do multiple assaults, across several counties, stay quiet for so long? I can only speculate that the assaulted players were so embarrassed and humiliated that most of them kept it a deep, dark secret, and that’s how Mr Fletcher was able to keep his (alleged) actions secret as long as he did. There must be a course in groomer school which teaches these guys how to pick victims who won’t say anything. But that house of cards came crashing down:
One player told another what happened and other players shared similar stories, prosecutors said.
There is no capital punishment for crimes in which no victim was killed, so the most that can be done to Mr Fletcher is, if he is convicted, to put him in prison for as long as the law allows. Unless he is placed in some form of protective custody, I would guess that his time in general population will not be at all pleasant.
