Is there anyone more valuable to the exposure of the truth than Chaya Raichik, the creator of Libs of TikTok? This is the kind of story that the credentialed media usually cover up, but Libs of TikTok publicized it:

Elementary school principal arrested for aggravated child abuse, false imprisonment

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – The principal of Destiny Leadership Academy, an elementary school in Ocala, was arrested after Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies say he trapped a student in a classroom and abused the child.

Dontay Akeem Prophet, 33, was arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment of a victim under the age of 13. On Friday, a deputy responded to a call about a fight between a student and Prophet at the school.

Sheriff’s deputies reviewed surveillance video they say shows Prophet preventing a boy from leaving a classroom. He grabbed the student and put him in a chokehold on the ground.

Prophet used a charging cable to strike the child, causing him to fall. He also twisted the boy’s ankle, slapped his face, and committed other abuse.

And here’s where it gets truly disgusting:

He is being held without bond at the Marion County Jail. This arrest is not Prophet’s first time in jail. In 2019, he was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior of a minor under the age of 16. At the time, he was a behavioral specialist at South Ocala Elementary.

He was accused of inviting a student to his home and touching him sexually. He resigned from the Marion County School District after being put on leave in 2019.

Kudos to WCJB-TV; many of the credentialed media outlets would have written this to obscure the fact that Mr Prophet’s victim was a boy, and that means the molestation was homosexual in nature.

And here’s the truly rotten part.

Prosecutors negotiated a plea deal with Prophet and he pleaded guilty to the downgraded charge of attempting to interfere with the custody of a child. In 2023, he was arrested for violating his probation.

So, arrested on a sex charge, prosecutors negotiated a plea deal in which he pleaded guilty to a crime which was not a sex offense. That means that when Destiny Leadership Academy did their due diligence and background check on Mr Prophet — assuming that they did so in the first place — no sex offense would have been found. This is what happens when prosecutors give out sweetheart plea deals!

It is, of course, possible that the original victim, or his parents, were unwilling to testify against Mr Prophet, something which a boy under sixteen might well have been thoroughly embarrassed about and unwilling to do. Perhaps prosecutors got the best they believed they could do. But this just points out that when the laws are not fully enforced, regardless of the reason, bad things can happen.
