Today’s left and their whining about successful Israeli rescue missions No military anywhere strives for a 'fair fight'

My good friend William Teach noted that NBC News decided to take its cue from all of the pro-Palestinian/pro-Hamas Twitter bots out there, weeping and wailing and gnashing their teeth that some poor, poor Palestinians were killed during the rescue, blaming a “failure of negotiations.”

“What we saw yesterday is actually failure of the negotiations,” Yossi Mekelberg, an associate fellow with the Middle East and North Africa Programme at Chatham House, said in a phone interview with NBC News.

“Had there been a cease-fire, these hostages would already have been at home, and the civilians that were killed yesterday would be alive,” Mekelberg said.

There was a ceasefire in place, right up through October 6th. Had Hamas not broken that, those hostages would have always been at home, and the civilians killed in the rescue missions would still be alive. Continue reading →

Israel busts yet another Hamas tunnel and weapons cache

It was not quite two weeks ago that President Joe Biden threatened to withhold American weapons shipments to Israel if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent the Israel Defence Force into Rafah. The obvious question becomes: did Hamas have weapons stockpiled in Rafah, or did them move some from elsewhere into Rafah, hoping that Israel would kowtow to the dummkopf from Delaware’s demands?

How interesting that inclusive places like Haverford College allow discrimination against Jews on campus

Haverford College was founded in 1833, as a men’s college, by members of the Religious Society of Friends, more colloquially known as Quakers. According to the school, 98% of the 1,472-member student body live on campus, and the college claims a six-to-one tree to student body ratio. Full disclosure: I did some work on the Haverford campus in the early 2000s.

A liberal arts college, they are most definitely liberal, as they have proudly posted about their student body ‘diversity,’ telling us that the Class of 2027 is 52.5% “identify as people of color”. No mention was made concerning whether Rachel Dolezal was a student. 🙂

Haverford isn’t cheap, as tuition, fees, and housing for the 2024-25 academic year totals $89,568, though they also say that 49% receive some sort of financial aid, 44% receive outright grants, with the average grant being $62,237.

Hamas delendum est Concern for the hostages should not stop Israel from doing what is necessary

The New York Times, one of the few newspapers which continues to engage in serious journalism these days, had a very long article on Yahya Sinwar, the senior Hamas official in Gaza:

Is a Muslim high school teacher using his position to push #AntiSemitism?

We have previously mentioned Central Bucks West teacher Youssef Abdelwahab, his anti-Israel social media posts, and how some parents believe he is ‘brainwashing’ students. Mr Abdelwahab is a Spanish teacher and adviser to the high school’s Muslim Student Association. The Central Bucks School District investigated the teacher, and concluded that his out-of-school activities did not violate policies.

Well, now his activities have caught the attention of the Feds.

Why are there so few pro-#Hamas demonstrations in conservative areas?

I have been checking the Lexington Herald-Leader and the Kentucky Kernel, the UK student newspaper for which I used to write back during the days of quill pens and inkwells, every day, and I have yet to see any reports of pro-Hamas, or pro-Israel, protests of demonstrations on campus or in the city. Yes, that shows that Kentucky students are just plain smarter than those elite and effete Ivy Leaguers, but then it occurred to me: there are very few Jewish students at UK, with Jews being a very small minority in the Bluegrass State as a whole, while the reports of demonstrations at Penn and Hahvahd and Columbia are occurring at schools with significant Jewish populations, and it leads me to think that these demonstrations really are just as much anti-Semitic as they are pro-Palestinian.

I support A15’s goal of an end to the war in Gaza, but I want to see that war end with a complete Israeli victory!

I can certainly appreciate them protesting outside of the Infernal Revenue Service building in Philadelphia. What they are protesting, however, is not something I support.
