Once again, the hoitiest and the toitiest rally in favor of #Hamas So, what happens to the Stanford grads when it comes to their employment prospects?

Stanford University, 2024-25 tuition only: $21,709 per quarter, a private university in the Pyrite State, has a joyous image of commencement featuring a pretty, blonde girl openly smiling and cheering and clapping her hands in the California sunshine headlining the university’s website main page, or at least they do on Monday, June 17th, at 7:42 AM EDT. Stanford, one of the truly prestigious universities in the United States, sort of an Ivy League of the West school, attracts students from around the world, applying in a highly selective environment.

One would think that, as savvy and smart as those students are, they’d occasionally check the news, and ought to have seen stories noting that corporations which recruit top students are wary of hiring those who’ve been taking part in the pro-‘Palestinian,’ pro-Hamas demonstrations which have taken place.

Students from high-profile colleges have gotten involved including Columbia University, the University of Virginia, the University of Michigan, and the University of Mississippi among others.

Almost two-thirds of employers said they were reluctant to hire protesters because they may exhibit confrontational behavior in the workplace and over half say it’s because they are too political and could make other workers feel uncomfortable, per the survey.

Other reasons included that they perceived protesters as liabilities, dangerous, lacking a decent education, and having political beliefs that were different from their own.

“With all the dramatic coverage from recent campus protests and other events, it’s understandable that employers may want to avoid potential distractions and conflicts in the workplace,′ Huy Nguyen, chief education and career development advisor at Intelligent.com, told CNBC Make it.

That story isn’t new: it was published three weeks ago, and it’s hardly the only story on the subject out there. We have previously reported, several major corporate CEOs have said that they would not hire Harvard students who signed a stupid document blaming Israel for Hamas’ October 7th attack, and at least one CEO has said he will never again hire anyone from Harvard, MIT, or Penn following the three presidents’ debacle. Why, it’s almost as though actually responsible people have decided that hiring anti-Semites is irresponsible.

So, what did the hoitiest and toitiest of students being graduated from Stanford do?

Stanford University graduation chaos as HUNDREDS of students waving Palestinian flags and keffiyehs walk out during President Richard Saller’s speech

  • Around 500 students walked out of Stanford’s graduation ceremony on Sunday
  • The students were seen wearing keffiyehs and waving Palestinian flags

Stanford University’s graduation ceremony on Sunday was thrown into chaos after students staged a pro-Palestine protest and walked out.

Around five hundred students, some wearing keffiyehs and holding Palestinian flags, walked out of the stadium during the President’s address, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

‘This morning we want to celebrate your achievements in spite of the troubled environment,’ President Richard Saller told the students moments before the mass walkout.

The school has been mired in controversy as students have publicly demonstrated against the Israel-Hamas war and called on the college to divest from its links with Israel.

A pro-Palestine encampment remained on campus for more than 100 days and thirteen students were eventually arrested during its removal.

There’s more at the original. The roughly 500 students protesting made up about 10% of Stanford’s graduating class, but, since the protesters have not been individually identified, how can any employer or prospective employer know whether a particular grad was part of the walkout? The wiser policy? Don’t hire any Stanford graduate, and instead choose someone who was graduated from a state school which didn’t have that anti-Semitic idiocy on campus. We have previously noted that there was a small pro-‘Palestinian’ rally, including several non-students, at the University of Kentucky, but it was entirely peaceful and dispersed after the rally was over.

Perhaps smarter employers will be looking at grads from Jacksonville State, East Carolina University or UK this year?
