One would think that women, conservative, moderate, liberal, and even whacko hard left, would all be united on one question, namely that rape is a bad thing, a horrible thing, an assault on everyone’s dignity. But that’s apparently not the case when it comes to at least some women, namely those who support the ‘Palestinian’ cause.
CNN host clashes with progressive Democrat over Hamas’ use of sexual violence: ‘You turned it back to Israel’
Jayapal claimed she had specifically condemned Hamas’ attacks against Israeli women

CNN host Dana Bash clashed with progressive Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., over the lack of widespread condemnation of Hamas’ use of sexual violence against Israeli women during their Oct. 7 attacks.
I’m putting the rest of this below the fold, because it includes the video of the interview.
“I want to ask you about sexual violence, and it’s kind of remarkable that this issue hasn’t gotten enough attention, globally. Widespread use of rape, brutal rape, sexual violence against Israeli women by Hamas. I’ve seen a lot of progressive women, generally speaking, they’re quick to defend women’s rights and to speak out against using rape as a weapon of war, but downright silent on what we saw on October 7. And what might be happening inside Gaza right now to these hostages. Why is that?” Bash asked.
The “Squad” Democrat suggested that wasn’t true and claimed she had already condemned Hamas’ treatment of women before quickly turning the conversation back to Israel.
I use the term “squadristi” to refer to them. “Squadristi“, singular “squadrista,” is one of the names Italians had for Benito Mussolini’s Voluntary Militia for National Security, Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale, more commonly known as the Black Shirts.
“But I think we have to remember Israel is a democracy. That is why they’re a strong ally of ours. And if they do not comply with international humanitarian law, they are bringing themselves to a place that makes it much more difficult strategically for them to be able to build allies, to keep public opinion with them, and frankly, morally, we cannot say that one war crime deserves another. That is not what international humanitarian law says,” Jayapal said.
Translation: Mrs Williamson — Pramila Jayapal is married to Steven R Williamson, and even if she does not respect her husband enough to have taken his name, I will not show similar disrespect to him — understands full well that Hamas’ campaign of terrorizing Israeli women through the use of rape is a horrible thing, but she doesn’t want that horror to be used against ‘Palestinian’ Arab tactics and goals.
“With respect, I was just asking about the women, and you turned it back to Israel. I’m asking you about Hamas,” Bash said.
The lawmaker said she had already answered the question and added, “we have to be balanced about bringing in the outrages against Palestinians. Fifteen thousand Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air strikes, three-quarters of whom are women and children.”
Except, of course, the ‘Palestinian’ Arabs started this war, with a surprise attack on Israel on October 7th, not the other way around. Mrs Williamson and the squadristi don’t like the fact that Israel is fighting back against the Arabs.
“And it’s horrible,” Bash said. “But you don’t see Israeli soldiers raping Palestinian women.”
“I don’t want this to be the hierarchies of oppressions,” Jayapal said.
Most people understand that, if a nation is attacked, it has a perfect right to fight back against those who attacked it. The United States has certainly backed Ukraine after Russia invaded that country, but Mrs Williamson’s record on that includes opposing and condemning President Biden’s decision to supply cluster munitions to Ukraine. Mrs Williamson simply does not want Israel to fight back against the Arabs who wish to destroy her and establish a Judenfrei Arab state “From the River to the Sea.” Hey, if using rape to terrorize Jewish women helps achieve that vision, Mrs Williamson is not ready to allow “hierarchies of oppressions” to stand in the way!
The burning question: who’s uglier, Pramila Jayapal or Rashida Tlaib?
