Sometimes you just have to be an [insert slang term for the rectum here] to do things right

My good friend and occasional blog pinch hitter William Teach noted that Luke Broadwater of The New York Times was apoplectic over the hardball that President Donald Trump played during the Government shutdown:

The government shutdown is already the longest in American history. But it’s also perhaps the most punishing, in part because President Trump has taken actions no previous administration ever took during a shutdown.

Over the past six weeks, the Trump administration cut food stamps for millions of low-income Americans. It tried to fire thousands of government workers and withhold back pay from others, while freezing or canceling money for projects in Democratic-led states. . . . .

But for now, the tactics appear to have worked, after a group of Democrats agreed to support a bill to end the shutdown and drop the concessions their party had demanded.

“Standing up to Donald Trump didn’t work,” Senator Angus King, independent of Maine who caucuses with the Democrats, said on MSNBC Monday. “It actually gave him more power.”

We previously reported on how columnist Will Bunch and the liberal denizens of Bluesky were just spittle-flecking mad that the Democrats in the Senate finally caved agreed to end the filibuster, and allow the continuing resolution to fund the government come to a vote.

Well, it wasn’t just Mr Bunch at The Philadelphia Inquirer, but their Editorial Board as well:

The shutdown underscored clear policy differences between the two political parties: Trump and the Republicans do not care about everyday Americans.

It is easy to say the Democrats blinked and got nothing in return for agreeing to end the historic government shutdown.

On its face, that is true. But Sen. John Fetterman, the Pennsylvania Democrat who was one of the eight senators who caved, is wrong to claim the shutdown was a failure.

It’s a bit disingenuous to say that Senator Fetterman “caved,” given that he was a vote to end the filibuster the entire time. However, to my friends at the Inky, any Democrat who does not hate President Trump with a plasma-hot passion is a filthy traitor and despicable human being.

The Democrats were right to make a stand to preserve the Affordable Care Act subsidies to stave off steep increases in health insurance premiums. By refusing to negotiate, President Donald Trump and the Republicans under his thumb showed they do not care about average Americans.

Would it not be just as true that the filibustering Democrats were showing that they do not care about average Americans? Yes, they eventually gave up, but only after forty days and forty nights.

Trump remained unengaged throughout the longest government shutdown ever. Speaker Mike Johnson (R., La.) abdicated any leadership as he sent the Republican House members home.

LOL! The editorial writer assumes that it was abdication, but it was a smart move. The Speaker largely kept the Representatives out of it, having already done their part by passing and sending the continuing resolution to the Senate. President Trump “remained unengaged,” which gave strength to Senate Republicans to hold firm, and, of course, the President had other jobs to do at the time.

For more than 40 days, Americans were largely left on their own as the government remained closed. The pain rippled across the country, as more than 600,000 federal workers were furloughed, 42 million low-income Americans lost food assistance, and chaos ensued at airports.

The last link notes flight cancellations, but hardly describes “chaos.” As for 600,000+ federal workers being furloughed, that’s a good thing, because we have a roster of 600,000+ federal workers whose positions were not considered essential enough to require them to work on an emergency basis. If they were not essential to work for the past forty days, then their positions are not essential enough to retain at all. With hundreds of thousands, and perhaps two million illegal immigrants having left the country, and their jobs, there ought to be plenty of jobs available for the non-essential federal workers.

There’s a lot more at the original, and almost every paragraph is worthy of challenge, but the reader is supposed to believe that President Trump is an [insert slang term for the anus here], because he doesn’t want to spend hundreds of billions of dollars more on welfare. For those of us not on welfare, Mr Trump and the Republicans want to spend less of our taxpayer dollars on the less productive and the welfare malingerers. People who have worked hard all of their lives really do not like being taxed to support people who will not work.

Those of us who voted for Mr Trump knew he is an [insert slang term for the anus here], and, more importantly, we wanted him to be an [insert slang term for the anus here], because being all kind and sweetness and light is a very large part of what has gotten us into this mess in the first place.

Mikie Sherrill Hedberg believes you can’t handle the truth! The candidate will not address an issue she sees as a vote loser

Remember the kerfuffle over former Vice President Kamala Harris Emhoff’s admission that she considered then-Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg as her running mate, but decided against it because he is openly homosexual? Mr Buttigied admitted to being “surprised” to read that.

The divergence comes as their party is grappling with its approach to diversity, as the Trump administration slashes through diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Democrats disagree about how much to emphasize such values after the GOP successfully painted the party as too “woke” — and now face new questions over how to field winning candidates.

Now The Philadelphia Inquirer is telling us how one candidate is handling that. U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill has been quiet on transgender rights in the New Jersey governor’s race as Republican Jack Ciattarelli has spoken out against protections for trans youth.

C.B. can’t even comprehend her transgender daughter being required to use the boys’ bathroom at her South Jersey school.

That’s OK, because most of us cannot comprehend how “C.B.” or any other rational human being could think that her son is actually a girl, or how the newspaper can use terms to pretend that he is a she.

“If you went into her classroom and someone said, ‘Pick out the trans kid out of these 25 kids,’ you would not be able to,” C.B. said. “You might very well get it wrong.”

So, “C.B.” is saying that her son can ‘pass’ as a girl

C.B., who asked to be identified by her initials to protect the privacy of her child, said she loves the Garden State. She has a “very Jersey family.”

But, like other parents of trans children, she’s considering packing her family’s bags depending on the results of the Nov. 4 election, and whether the next governor maintains the state’s LGBTQ+ friendly policies.

As opposed to getting her son mental help, to accept that he’s really a boy and learn how to be a male.

The stakes of the election are stark for C.B. and other parents. Jack Ciattarelli, the Republican nominee for New Jersey governor, opposes state policies implemented under Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy meant to protect transgender children. Ciattarelli says he would require schools to tell parents about their children’s gender identity and stop transgender girls (sic) from participating in girls’ sports. He also opposes gender-affirming care for minors and believes parents should be able to opt their kids out of LGBTQ+ related topics in school.

Shocking! You mean that Mr Ciattarelli believes that public schools should not be able to conceal a child’s mental illness from his parents? You mean that the Republican candidate believes that parents should have the choice to opt their children out of lessons they consider to be immoral and contrary to their religious beliefs?

U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, the Democratic nominee, has largely voted in support of transgender rights throughout her nearly seven-year legislative career. She was endorsed by LGBTQ+ advocacy groups as well as her friend U.S. Rep. Sarah McBride (D., Del.), the first openly transgender member of Congress. But Sherrill has not publicly defended trans rights when criticized by Ciattarelli and has declined to answer reporters’ questions on the matter.

Of course, “U.S. Rep. Sarah McBride” is actually Tim McBride, yet another male who thinks he’s a woman, whom the good people of the First State foolishly elected to Congress, but the newspaper I have frequently called The Philadelphia Enquirer[2]RedState writer Mike Miller called it the Enquirer, probably by mistake, so I didn’t originate it, but, reminiscent of the National Enquirer as it is, I thought it very apt. would never tell you that, because you can’t handle the truth.

Reporter Aliya Schneider noted that former and future President Donald Trump attacked Mrs Emhoff for supporting the strange notion that girls can be boys and boys can be girls, and that Mr Ciattarelli is doing the same thing in his campaign.

Sherrill has not just ignored the attacks. She has avoided talking about the issue altogether.

The article continues, and it is pretty heavily biased in favor of ‘transgenderism,’ so don’t be surprised if you choose to follow the link and read more of it, but it all boils down to one thing: the ‘transgender’ lobby believe that Mrs Hedberg will closely toe their line, but just can’t say so, because she needs the votes. The Democratic candidate won’t address the issue at all, because doing something really radical like telling voters the truth about her beliefs is a vote loser. Perhaps, if she loses, she’ll admit the truth as Mrs Emhoff did in her silly book, but the sad part is that, if she wins, she’ll tell you the truth about her policies with state action.

That thing that never happens has happened again At least ten high school varsity teams have chosen to forfeit games to protest presence of a boy on a girls' volleyball team

We noted, on September 26th, that six schools had forfeited games against the Jurupa Valley High School’s girls’ varsity volleyball team because a mentally ill male, A B Hernandez, plays on the girls’ team. Fox News has just reported how much the real girls are sacrificing:

Jurupa Valley High School’s girls’ volleyball team in California has now seen at least 10 games on its 2025 schedule forfeited amid a national controversy involving one of its players, who is transgender.

Los Osos High School forfeited a tournament game against Jurupa Valley on Saturday, while Patriot High School forfeited its Monday varsity match, marking its second forfeit to JVHS this season. Patriot High School previously forfeited a Sept. 26 match to Jurupa Valley.

Maribel Munoz, the mother of Jurupa Valley player Alyssa McPherson, provided Fox News Digital a copy of a message sent by JVHS head coach Liana Manu, announcing that the varsity match against Patriot was forfeited. The JV and freshman games were still played.

So, the schools are still playing the sub-varsity games, the games in which young Mr Hernandez is not participating.

It appears that by using a male player on the girls’ team, Jurupa Valley is in position to win the league title. However, JVHS is playing without Hadeel Hazameh and Alyssa McPherson, real girls who are refusing to play while Mr Hernandez is on the team.

Two of Jurupa Valley’s senior players, McPherson and Hadeel Hazameh, stepped away from the team this season in protest of trans teammate AB Hernandez.

McPherson and Hazameh have also filed a lawsuit against the Jurupa Unified School District citing their experience playing and sharing a locker room with Hernandez the previous three seasons. McPherson’s older sister and former JVHS girls’ volleyball player Madison McPherson is the third plaintiff in that lawsuit.

So, Misses McPherson and Hazameh, both of whom are minors according to the lawsuit filed — the age of sexual consent in the Pyrite State is 18 — wound up playing and sharing a locker room with young Mr Hernandez, though obviously uncomfortably, in previous seasons. Here we have to give credit to Riley Gaines Barker, who has been leading the effort against allowing males to compete on women’s athletic teams, and the several colleges which forfeited against San José State University last collegiate volleyball season, for showing the way. Because none of the actual adults would do the right thing and protect women’s sports, it has been left to teenagers and young twenty-something athletes to sacrifice willingly to make the point.

But I keep wondering what young Mr Hernandez is doing. I get it: he really, really, really thinks he’s a girl. Yet, a volleyball team is supposed to be a team, and even if he thinks that Misses McPherson and Hazameh are being ridiculous in not accepting him as a girl, he has also cost his team at least ten opportunities to play against competition. The forfeits are wins for the team, but they are not wins that the team has earned. Brayden “Blaire” Fleming did the same thing for San José State University.

If Mr Hernandez really wants to be seen and thought of as a girl, why is he doing things to draw ever more attention to the fact that he’s male? He recently competed in and won the girls’ triple jump track competition by eight feet! He won races by margins which left the other girls in the dust. At least Will “Lia” Thomas had enough sense to, after he won an NCAA championship in one event, to pull back and let real women win the others. Mr Fleming kept his ‘transgender’ status a secret, and, to be honest, he could actually ‘pass’ as a girl, where Mr Thomas could not.

Can someone explain this stuff to me, because I guess that I’m just not smart enough to figure it out on my own. If the ‘transgendered’ really want to be seen as the sex they claim to be, why do things to point out that they really are not?

Riverside County, where the Jurupa United School District is located, is the fourth largest county in California and tenth largest the United States, but it has at least a little bit of sense — for the Pyrite State, that is — in that it was actually carried by Donald Trump on the 2024 election, albeit by the narrow margin of 463,677 (49.30%) to 451,782 (48.04%). Six congressional districts have parts of the county in them, represented by three Democrats and three Republicans, while there is again a split in the state Senate, but a 5-to-1 advantage for Republicans in the state Assembly.

Perhaps you’ve heard of young Mr Hernandez. He recently won the girls’ triple jump track competition by eight feet!

Patriot High School has forfeited an upcoming match to the Jurupa Valley High School.

Jurupa Valley previously saw three forfeits in one weekend at the Freeway Games tournament, as Aquinas High School, San Dimas High School, and Yucaipa High School all refused to play Jurupa Valley. Before this, the teams AB Miller High School, Orange Vista High School, Rim of the World High School, and Riverside Poly High School had all forfeited to Jurupa Valley.

Young Mr Hernandez’s presence isn’t the only ‘transgender’ boy causing forfeits in California.

Three of Hernandez’s current and former volleyball teammates have filed a lawsuit against the Jurupa Unified School District (JUSD), the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and the California Department of Education (CDE) over their experience sharing a team and locker room with the transgender athlete.

The two current teammates in the lawsuit, seniors Alyssa McPherson and Hadeel Hazameh, previously told Fox News Digital they were stepping away from the team as long as the transgender athlete is participating. The third plaintiff is McPherson’s older sister Madison, who graduated last year.

“Plaintiffs have been intimidated by an intentionally hostile environment created by Defendants wherein they were bullied by school officials to censor their objections to competing with, and against, a male and to sharing intimate and private spaces with a male,” the lawsuit reads.

We have previously reported on the discovery that “Blaire” Fleming was actually a male named Brayden Fleming on the San José State University women’s volleyball team, and how it led to several forfeits.

I get it. Our good friends on the left, consumed by sympathy as they are, really, really, really want to accommodate the ‘transgendered,’ those afflicted with gender dysphoria, who apparently seriously believe that they are not really the sex into which they were conceived, developed, and born. They really, really, really want people like young Mr Hernandez and Will Thomas to be able to live out their dreams to be women, regardless of the fact that they just are not.

But there are real differences between men and women, between boys and girls, differences which make a difference when it comes to athletics, and for all of the ‘transgendered’s’ Wishin’ and hopin’ and thinkin’ and prayin’, Plannin’ and dreamin’ that girls can be boys and boys can be girls, they really can’t be. The ‘transgendered’ are mentally ill, and our very sympathetic friends on the left somehow believe that it’s better to go along with their delusions than to help them and tell them the truth.

However crazy you might think I am, no matter how much I really, really want to be as athletic as Bo Jackson, I’m at least sane enough to realize that I’m not.

Now, there are athletes, there are families in southern California, some of which might have been more sympathetic to people like young Mr Hernandez who are learning the hard way that the idiocy of the hard left wokesters is not something in the distance, something that happens to Other People, but happens to them as well.

The academic year has really just begun. How many more stories like this will we see before it’s over?

I will admit it: when I first saw this tweet from Greg Price, I had trouble believing it. No one, and I mean no one, could possibly be this stupid.

Total Chaos at Arlington School Board Meeting, and You Won’t Believe What Left-Wingers Were Defending

What started with a racist sign outside an Arlington school board meeting devolved into total chaos on Thursday night, as left-wing activists went wild.

The meeting first drew attention when a left-winger of the Boomer generation was pictured holding a sign that read, “Hey Winsome, if trans can’t share your bathroom, then blacks can’t share my water fountain.” That was an insanely racist shot at Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears (R-VA), who is now running for governor. She showed up at the meeting to stand in solidarity with normal parents against the school district’s policy of allowing boys and men to use female restrooms and locker rooms.

Little did we know that a racist sign was just the beginning.

Once the meeting started, things went from bad to worse, with parents being heckled by rainbow-clad activists. Why? Because said parents had the audacity to object to a registered sex offender being allowed to use a girls’ locker room by claiming to be “transgender.”

Who is Richard Cox? He’s a man that the school district let use the aforementioned girls’ locker room, at which point he allegedly exposed himself to children. Innocent girls were actually forced to change next to him. That’s apparently something worth defending if you’re a deranged left-wing lunatic from Arlington, VA.

As much as I like Bonchie and RedState, I will admit that they can get a bit strident, and not everyone will accept RedState as a legitimate news source, so I searched for credentialed media sources as well, and yup, Mr Cox was arrested for indecent exposure:

Even the Swarthmore College student newspaper, The Phoenix, acknowledged that the institution “is overwhelmingly liberal and regarded to be a politically active campus.” In her 2015 article, “Life as a Conservative at a Liberal College“, Gloria Kim wrote:

What I expected, really, was discourse of ideas. Yes, Swarthmore is a liberal school, but I imagined the Quaker tradition would allow a peaceful exchange of ideas and an open environment for opposing opinions to coexist. What I found was a bit different.

From my first semester, I found Swarthmore’s vaunted tradition of civil discourse had become a rigid and inflexible radicalism.

That the college is ‘transgender’ friendly is not in any doubt, but even Swarthmore can’t change President Trump’s executive orders or the NCAA’s policies, and that, of course, gets yet another lawsuit from a man male claiming to be female:

If you are not calling on Hamas to surrender and release the hostages, your cries about people suffering in Gaza are worthless.

Armand Domalewski describes himself, in his Twitter biography, as a “Data scientist” living in San Francisco, and “Co-Founder, YIMBYs for Harris”. He’s actually followed by several real people I know, so perhaps he’s not an actual Palestinian bot, like so many of the other pro-Hamas posters on social media, but in this, he might as well be.

Mr Domalewski tweeted that the headline on the Babylon Bee satire site, “Gaza Said To Be Starving But Not ‘Release The Hostages’ Starving,” “is an evil, evil, evil headline”, But, even from a sarcasm site, it’s an accurate headline. The only thing that needs to happen for tons and tons of food and other aid to flow into Gaza is for Hamas to surrender and release the hostages. But the Palestinians and their useful idiots on social media would rather keep on fighting an unwinnable war. Continue reading →

Irreconcilable differences

We have previously reported on Will Thomas, the male swimmer for the University of Pennsylvania, who decided that he was really a woman, started calling himself “Lia”, and went on to compete on Penn’s women’s swim team. A 6’3″ tall man male, ranked 462nd, he quickly became number one in women’s swimming. Why, it’s almost as though there are real physical differences between males and females, differences which make a difference in sports and physical activities.

There are many, many things which made something of a difference in the campaign between former President Donald Trump and then-Vice President Kamala Harris Emhoff, and one of the issues hammered on by our then-former President was the far-left’s insistence that ‘transgender’ women, like Mr Thomas, really are women. Mr Trump won the election, and has been putting his policies into place.

Bad causes attract bad people Why do the pro-#Hamas groups always lie through their scummy teeth?

I have been amused by the so-called #GlobalMarchToGaza and the silliness of Western liberals in their sympathy for the people who started a war they couldn’t finish, and pointed out their naïveté of hundreds of protesters who believed that Egypt would simply allow them to march through the Sinai desert to the border with Gaza, in theory to break the “siege.”

In a recent post on Twitter — I refuse to call it 𝕏 — the group were kind enough to include the link to their website, which I naturally checked. So, what did I find?

Is Global March To Gaza a political movement?

  • No. Global March To Gaza is a civic, apolitical, and independent movement.
  • We do not represent any political party, ideology, or religion.
  • We represent the people, in all their diversity and humanism.
  • Our only guiding principles are justice, human dignity, and peace.

So, they claim to be apolitical, to suck in the Western liberals, but a group whose “only guiding principles are justice, human dignity, and peace” would also have been calling for Hamas to release all of the remaining hostages. That I did not find.

One of the six ‘luminaries’ shown, Zwelivelile Mandla Mandela, Chief of the Mvezo Traditional Council, the Amir of the Royal House of Mandela, and the grandson of former President Nelson Mandela, was depicted wearing a ‘Palestinian’ keffiyeh.

The Global March to Gaza are as apolitical as our Democratic Party.

I never expect any group which tells us it is apolitical to actually be apolitical, and once again, I was proven right.

I’ve said it before: bad causes attract bad people, and the Global March to Gaza organizers are simply bad people.
