(Breitbart) I believe that the best way the system works is when the power is with the people, to then advocate for their [sic] and have their needs met. So that’s the big macro stepping back, right? One of the ways the system works to do that—that the system should work to do that, is we have elected representation who represent the people in these state legislatures, which is where laws get passed. Or in Congress, which is where the federal laws get passed. And for the system to work the right way, legislators, these members of the state legislature, let’s say it’s a state senator, state assemblymember, or your congressman or your United States Senator, will meet with and they’ll have ways of receiving information from the people about what they want. I think it’s really important always that we know our power to organize around what we need, and sometimes that will take the form of writing letters, sometimes it will take the form of mass protests to make sure the voice of the people is heard by their representative leaders who then have as their responsibility to write up some legislation that meets the needs of the people. And then when they write that up, they take a vote in their body, if it’s a statehouse or Congress, and if the majority of the people there agree with it, it becomes a law. So that’s how it’s supposed to work, and I mean it does connect to what we were talking about earlier which is then reminding folks they have a right and a right to expect that their leaders will hear them and take seriously their needs.

Seriously, I read it, so, you have to. It’s painful. The question was literally “Explain how a bill becomes a law.” We all learned this on Schoolhouse Rock, right? Kamala is of an age where should would have seen this on TV.

It gets even worse when you listen and watch. The absurd hand movements and eyes looking around, like a bad TikToker. And the hosts look like they are sorry they asked.

Minneapolis Swears In First Non-U.S. Citizen as Police Officer

Minneapolis, Minnesota, has sworn in its first police officer who is not a U.S. citizen, according to reports.

The Minnesota Police Dept. has reported that Lesly Vera, a native of Somalia, was sworn in on Thursday as the department’s first non-citizen officer.

Vera was seen at the swearing-in ceremony wearing a hijab over her head as she took the oath of office and received her badge.

Vera moved to Minneapolis with her parents from their arrival point in Mexico when she was four. She is a legal resident alien and authorized to work, but is not a U.S. citizen.

Oh, this should go well. Start off with a diminutive woman, and, all due respect, we’ve seen the video of how that has worked out with other police departments in the 1st World. Second, you have a Somali, and a goodly chunk of them are Islamic extremists, as we’ve seen in Minneapolis as they demonstrate against Jews, against Israel, and for Islamic terrorist groups, and are the main reason why Islamic extremist and Jew hater Ilhan Omar was elected and keeps getting elected.

You’d think the 1st World, and, especially America, would have learned our lesson about Islamists on 9/11/2001, and wouldn’t want people pushing Sharia law

IDF confirms Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah killed in Beirut attack

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was killed in the IDF’s strike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut on Friday, the IDF announced Saturday morning.

Almost 32 years after co-founding the Lebanese terrorist organization, Nasrallah was killed, alongside Ali Karaki, Hezbollah’s commander of the southern front, and other Hezbollah commanders.

Israel’s air force struck Hezbollah’s central headquarters using precise intelligence from the intelligence wing and defense system. The headquarters were based underground, under a residential building in the Lebanese capital.

The strike, which was carried out by IAF aircraft, targeted Hezbollah’s central headquarters in Dahieh, Beirut, as The Jerusalem Post reported on Friday.

“This is not the end of our toolbox,” IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi said in a statement following the announcement of Nasrallah’s death.

“Those who threaten the citizens of the State of Israel – we will know how to reach them – in the North, in the South, and even in more distant places,” Halevi said.

The gloves came off after October 7th, and Israel really does know how to reach out to the terrorists and introduce them to the afterlife.

New York Times Says to Expect Election Results to Take a While

Expect election results in November to take a while, the New York Times told its readers Friday, a warning that appears to preempt an expectation that Americans should know who wins the presidential election on Election Night.

Before modern technology, close presidential elections often were decided in the early morning of the next day, such as the 1960 presidential election between Robert F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, which some political experts believe was stolen from Nixon.

Now, in the 21st century, close election results still take a similar amount of time or even longer, depending on the state in question. In 2020, election results were not determined until four days after Election Day.

Americans should not expect to know who won the 2024 presidential election on the night of the election because of “intense security measures required for counting mail-in ballots,” the Times reported:

Counting mail ballots takes more time because there are more steps involved. A variety of security measures, including signature verification and ensuring that voters did not also try to vote in person, are required. Election officials must open the ballots and flatten them out before they can be put in a tabulator to be counted.

Weird. Prior to 2016, and especially 2020, it was easy to count mail in ballots. But, are you really believing the Times’ rationale? It sounds more like they are looking for ways to stretch it out to make sure all the cheat by mail ballots get counted.

But, yeah, more are using it, and Republicans are trying to get those who wouldn’t usually go vote to do vote by mail. Perhaps it’s time to go back to the way voting was meant to be?

The problem is not that it could take a little time: it’s that the time stretches on beyond reasonable, and that Democrats attempt to hide what they’re doing as they’re counting.

U.K. to Fund ‘Small-Scale’ Outdoor Geoengineering Tests

A British science agency will provide 57 million pounds, or about $75 million, for researchers to examine ideas for artificially cooling the planet — including outdoor experiments to determine whether any of those ideas could actually work.

The announcement, by the Advanced Research and Invention Agency, or ARIA, is among the largest single infusions of money to date toward research into “solar geoengineering”: the notion of injecting particles into the air to deflect some of the sun’s radiation back into space with the goal of reducing the Earth’s temperature.

The government initiative is focused on testing several types of solar geoengineering. Those approaches could include injecting aerosols, such as sulfur dioxide, into the stratosphere or shooting sea-salt aerosols into low-lying marine clouds to reflect more sunlight away from the Earth.

Frank Keutsch, a geoengineering researcher at Harvard, said that as far as he knew, it was the first time that a government has called for proposals for outdoor experiments.

So, what happens if they test these, and actually mess up the climate? Because it is primarily driven by water vapor and the big nuclear furnace at the center of the solar system. But, hey, it’s a wonderful way to burn taxpayer money for usually no results.

Anti-Israel Groups Hit With Class Action Lawsuit Over Coordinated Traffic Blockade

Several anti-Israel organizations that formed an illegal blockade across the highway leading to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport are facing a class action lawsuit from travelers who were trapped in the traffic jam.

Left-wing groups, including the Tides Center—a George Soros-funded dark money network—Community Justice Exchange, and National Students for Justice in Palestine, among others, coordinated a “multi-city economic blockade” on April 15 targeting major airports, highways, and bridges. In one instance, activists shut down access to O’Hare, backing up traffic and forcing some travelers to walk with their luggage to the airport.

Keffiyeh-clad activists handcuffed themselves, linked arms with drain pipes, and later sat side-by-side on Interstate 190 leading to the Chicago airport. The Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute filed a lawsuit on Monday against the organizers for “imprisoning” thousands of travelers in vehicles on their way to O’Hare, according to the complaint.

But, were these protests protected by the 1st as peaceable? Also Article 1 Section 5 of the Illinois Constitution.

Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute cofounder and litigation director Ted Frank told the Washington Free Beacon the First Amendment does not protect criminal activity.

“These sorts of abusive roadblocking tactics have been used with impunity over the last few years, and the organizations seem to think that they can do that too,” Frank said.

“But when you injure people, when you commit torts against individual people, there’s not just criminal enforcement, but also civil enforcement,” he added. “We hope that this lawsuit vindicates that principle, vindicates the rights of the people who were adversely affected, encourages other such lawsuits, and discourages such tactics in the future.”

Too bad the suits can’t force the government to deport all those who are not natural born back to their Islamist nations. Or, just, out of the U.S.

In a recent paper in The Harvard Environmental Law Review, David Arkush, of the advocacy group Public Citizen, and Donald Braman, a law professor at George Washington University, argued that in the United States, fossil fuel companies could be charged with types of homicide short of first-degree murder based on claims of deception about climate change.

Springfield, Ohio, man reported Haitian migrants snatching geese out of park just 2 weeks ago

A Springfield, Ohio, resident on his way to work called 911 to report spotting four Haitian migrants snatching geese near a city park just two weeks ago, according to a newly revealed recording.

The call to a Clark County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher, obtained by the Federalist, appears to support a viral claim about some members of the migrant community eating animals in city parks.

Former President Donald Trump blasted the story into the mainstream Tuesday night when he claimed migrants in Springfield were “eating the dogs.”

Local cops and officials denied that anyone has reported pets being taken for food — but residents have previously claimed that ducks and other fowl were being eaten.

“I’m sitting here, I’m riding on the trail, I’m going to my orientation for my job today, and I see a group of Haitian people, there was about four of them, they all had geese in their hand,” the caller told a dispatcher.

All those reporters and Kamala supporters and supporters of unfettered immigration, bringing the 3rd World (is Haiti the 4th World at this point?) have said it’s a hoax, but, have any of them left their cushy offices and traveled to Springfield and interviewed residents? Done some investigation and set up cameras to watch? Of course not. Reporter these days is reading Twitter and Facebook, sending a few emails for comment right before publication, and just making it up based on their political beliefs.

On Tuesday, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced he was sending Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers to help local cops, and was also earmarking $2.5 million to fund the city’s overburdened health system. (snip)
