Did you know that I’m a “Domestic Violent Extremist”? I didn’t know I was, but that’s apparently how the Biden Administration would have classified me, if they knew who a small fry like me was. Continue reading

You in not that big a heap o’ trouble, boy!

Stephen Jones, photo via Facebook, under Section 27A of the Copyright Act.
Normally my crime articles go under the heading “You in a heap o’ trouble, boy,” or sometimes “girl,” in homage to that iconic southern expression, but, alas!, Mr Stephen Jones, formerly Democratic Leader of Philadelphia’s 59th Ward, is in far less of a heap o’ trouble than he should be for his offense.
I guess that he has friends in high places!

I have said it before: if we had social media back in 1944, the Usual Suspects wopuld have been decrying the violence and whining that Germany was defeated, that there was no need to continue the march into Germany proper, and think of all of the poor, innocent civilians who would be killed! Had such people been around then, they wouldn’t have cared that their calls for a “Ceasefire Now!” would have left der Führer and his henchmen alive and in power, and a couple of the concentration camps in place, but still . . . .
This morning’s story is what piqued The Philadelphia Inquirer’s far-left columnist’s ire: Continue reading
No matter how much you hate the credentialed media, you do not hate them enough!
You know, I get it: everyone wants to keep his job, no matter how royally he f(ornicated) up! As we have previously noted, the credentialed media have been trying their d(arnedest) to blame their almost total lack of coverage of thankfully former President Joe Biden’s declining physical and mental health not on their own failures to be actual journalists, but on Mr Biden’s inner circle and staff of paid flunkies to tell them the truth. How naïve do the reporters and editors have to be to think that people whose jobs and positions depended on Mr Biden remaining in office would tell other people that their boss was losing it?
Well, apparently the Editorial Board of The Washington Post want you to think that they were stunned by events!
If Biden was too frail for his job, voters should have been informed
The left lie through their scummy teeth
I have frequently said that if Donald Trump walked on water, the left would complain that he stepped on and injured some fish. If President Trump cured cancer, the left would combitch that he was putting doctors and nurses out of work.
The tweet screen captured to the left — I always screen capture tweets I’m going to use in articles, because this way they aren’t lost if someone deletes them, and they make great illustrations without having to worry about copyright violations — was just one of many which claimed that the evil, reich-wing President Trump was responsible for the deaths due to an overnight tornado strike in London, Kentucky, because he’s cutting some National Weather Service personnel. The disappointed Democrat and “I am further left, I am more progressive, than anyone in the state of Kentucky,” twice-defeated candidate Amy McGrath Henderson chimed in with her own attack, without bothering with the actual facts.
What my, sadly late, best friend used to call the Lexington Herald-Liberal, the staffers of which absotively, posilutely hate Mr Trump, was forced to admit the truth: Continue reading
Will Bunch: #TrumpDerangementSyndrome much?
Will Bunch is The Philadelphia Inquirer’s furthest left, and by that I mean far left, bat guano nuts #woke,[1]From Wikipedia:

So, what is piques his ire this fine Saturday morning? It seems that the President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump Kushner, visited the Philadelphia Eagles training center. Heaven forfend!

I shall confess to sometimes “ironic usage” of the term. To put it bluntly, I think that the ‘woke’ are just boneheadedly stupid. |

Covering their own asses! The credentialed media are blaming everybody but themselves for their own failures
It has been a few days since journolists Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson published their book Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, blaming everybody in Mr Biden’s administration for the elderly President’s decision to run for re-election despite his failing mental status. No matter how much you hate the credentialed media, you do not hate them enough! Only a fool would believe that the credentialed media didn't know about President Biden's descent into dementia
Jake Tapper, the lead Washington anchor for CNN, and Senior White House correspondent for ABC News before that, is a very well connected man in Washington media circles. He knows everybody who’s anybody, and everybody who’s anybody in DC knows him. With a guesstimated net worth of $20 million, he gets invited to all of the great parties.
Perhaps that $20 mil just isn’t enough for him, because any he’s been taking heroic measures to try to save his journalistic reputation. Too bad that no one with any sense, any sense at all, would believe that a journolist — and you can see the reason I spell it that way — as well connected as Mr Tapper was wholly unaware that President Joe Biden was slowly losing his marbles.
And here he goes again, this time in the pages of The New Yorker:
How Joe Biden Handed the Presidency to Donald Trump
At a fateful event last summer, Barack Obama, George Clooney, and others were stunned by Biden’s weakness and confusion. Why did he and his advisers decide to conceal his condition from the public and campaign for reëlection?
by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson | Tuesday, May 13, 2025
President Joe Biden got out of bed the day after the 2024 election convinced that he had been wronged. The élites, the Democratic officials, the media, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama—they shouldn’t have pushed him out of the race. If he had stayed in, he would have beaten Donald Trump. That’s what the polls suggested, he would say again and again. Continue reading
In defense of the single family home In the end, they're a lot better than rowhouses, apartments, and condos in large cities.
Though I have published pictures of our previous home, of which I was very proud, I usually cropped them on the right, because it was a duplex. When we bought it, in 2002, it was pained entirely white, and the doors were a faded lemon yellow, with a single, brass doorknob on the right-hand door. I added the antique brass door set, deadbolt, and kickplates, and painted it red.
The stained glass in the transom was a Christmas present to my darling bride — of 45 years, 11 months, and 24 days — and the columns are now PVC, purchased from Home Despot Depot, because one of the old wooden ones was getting to be in poor shape. The three-color paint job I left to the professionals. I redecked the porch, but rather than painting it grey, as it had been before, I used Cabot’s Australian Oil in red mahogany on mahogany flooring, and had the porch deck looking like it could have been an interior floor!
Nevertheless, it was a duplex, and that meant a common wall, and a family on the other side of the building. It wasn’t bad, at first; they were decent neighbors. But, alas! they broke up, and the now single guy living on the other side couldn’t afford to keep up the mortgage, and moved out, just walking away, and leaving the other side empty. A young realtor bought it out, did a little bit of work on the inside, and then sold it for an inflated price. OK, fine, that could only increase the value of our side! Continue reading
