Alberta Golf’s 2025 policy requiring one year of hormone therapy opened the door for biological males to dominate

Biological female golfers in Alberta, Canada, are suddenly being pushed off the top of the leaderboards, but why?

It appears a 2025 ruling opened the floodgates for transgender golfers to dominate women’s golf in the province and that’s exactly what’s happened.

Trans golfers Veronica Ivy and Rachel Elser have now won five individual women’s golf championships this summer, while Ivy, who used to dominate women’s cycling in Great Britain, was also a member of the winning team in the 2026 Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship.

Sadly, even Outkick/Fox News uses the fake names that the transgendered use to try to fool the simps and simple-minded. “Veronica Ivy” was named Rhys McKinnon at birth, and this is well-documented, so reporter Joe Kinsey and his editors had no real excuse not to use his real name. When he first ‘transitioned,’ he started calling himself “Rachel” McKinnon, then switched to his current pseudonym. In accordance with our Stylebook, while we always use the real names of the ‘transgendered,’ we do not change the direct quotations of othere.

‘Veronica Ivy,’ a.k.a. Rhys McKinnon

A man calling himself “Veronica Ivy” went on Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show last week and said nothing true or interesting.

Before he re-renamed himself, Rhys McKinnon called himself “Rachel McKinnon.” Life is too short to play these silly sex-evading name games.

As I wrote in 2019:

The precise moment I decided to stop lending McKinnon special courtesies, was when he lauded the terminal illness of a young woman, Magdalen Berns, whom I held (and still hold) in great esteem.

Berns believed strongly that men cannot be women. As she lay on her deathbed in Scotland, at the age of 36, surrounded by her loved ones, McKinnon tweeted that he was “happy” when bad people died, that this feeling is “justified,” that Berns is a “trash human,” and further advised his followers “don’t be the sort of person who people you’ve harmed are happy you’re dying of brain cancer.” By contrast, here is a characteristically civil, clear and courageous quote from Berns: “it’s not hate to defend your rights and it’s not hate to speak the truth.”

Our good friends on the left have shown themselves to be very happy when people they hate pass away, and there is no more proof of that needed than to look at how the left would react when President Trump goes to his eternal reward.

Other women have tried to articulate similar sentiments with regard to McKinnon. Take Jen Wagner-Assali, who, after coming in third to McKinnon at the UCI Masters Track World Championship in 2018, tweeted: “it’s definitely NOT fair.” After being bullied, Wagner apologized to McKinnon for causing offense. But that wasn’t enough, as McKinnon explained. “The apology is not accepted: she still thinks what she said. She merely apologizes for being caught saying it publicly.”

She still thinks it’s not fair for a man to beat her in the women’s category? Just imagine!

I looked up Mr McKinnon on Wikipedia, and found a reference to this from the very ‘transgender’ accepting LGBTQ Nation:

Canadian cyclist Rachel McKinnon broke the masters women’s world record for the 200-meter time trial for the age 34-39 category.

So, Mr McKinnon has excelled in two sports . . . when competing against real women. While one might not think that golf, his current sport of choice would be that different for men and women, competitive cycling is hugely different. The greater power, speed, endurance men have, along with the different hip structure between males and females, create real physical advantages for males. You only have to look at images of men’s and women’s competitors in the Tour de France, to see how the men have much thicker thighs than the women, just as Mr McKinnon has in the image from the first referenced article.

Is it any wonder that Mr McKinnon set a time trial record in women’s cycling? But even he admitted, in a sort of backhanded way, the truth. Back to the first referenced article:

Ah, but Ivy says outlets like OutKick are making more out of this than we should. The competition, Ivy claims, is weak. “They just see that I won some competition–without any checking for what level of competition it was,” Ivy told OutSports earlier this month. “I went from competing in elite world-level track cycling, though never making the national team or the Olympics, to contesting for age group provincial titles.

“I still haven’t cracked the top 10 at the Canadian national mid-amateur championship. I’m just out here trying my best, being a good competitor. Transphobes are pathetic.”

He admitted that he really wasn’t a top competitor, winning nothing . . . until he started competing against women.

Let that sink in, ladies. Ivy doesn’t think beating you is that big of a deal because you’re not very talented. Not talented enough, Ivy claims, for OutKick to make a big deal out of it. How pleasant. How brave of Ivy.

What’s Elser’s golf background? Outside of a 2025 women’s club championship, there’s not much to report. Magically, out of thin air, suddenly Alberta women’s golf titles are being won by transgenders.

But, as Ivy says, that’s not their problem. The biological females just need to get used to it or get better.

Mrs Kearns called Mr McKinnon a “cheat and a bully”, “rude” and “an unpleasant man,” which are certainly true, but at The First Street Journal we are more direct: he is an [insert slang term for the anus here], and that ought to be obvious.

But perhaps the real question ought to be: why do our good friends on the left, who claim to be so very, very educated, ignore the scientific truth, that males are simply different from females?
