Our great neighbor to the north is a virtual paradise, or so they would have us believe. Free health care, though you have to wait in months-long lines, strict gun control, way better airports than some of the ones Americans have, Air Canada rather than Delta or United, beautiful, wide-open vistas, across their frozen fruited plains. You’d think that they’d have little reason to care about the politics of we unworthy Americans, everything is just so groovy-cool up there. But, if you thought that, you’d be wrong!

Ironic twist for Canadian woman accused of slapping Jersey Shore teen for wearing MAGA attire

The Canadian woman who slapped a teenager at the Jersey Shore because she didn’t like the girl’s MAGA clothing was arrested by ICE and brought to Delaney Hall in Newark — the very immigration detention center her lefty husband has railed about on social media.Kaitlyn E. Tracey, 33, was taken into custody after she filmed herself confronting two girls wearing “patriotic colored” sweatpants over Fourth of July weekend at Point Pleasant, one of whom she struck across the face and body, cops said.

Her husband, Matthew Geroni, 42, revealed on TikTok Tuesday that she had been taken to Delaney Hall in a video he said he recorded with the purpose of getting her released from ICE custody “even if that means back to Canada,” he said.

Mrs Tracey, who did not respect her husband enough to have taken his name, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment and obstruction. But it has to be asked: with the wonderful, wonderful life provided by Canada, why were the couple living in Asbury Park, New Jersey? If they hate President Trump so very much, why not live in Toronto or Montreal or the simpler life in New Brunswick?

But, let’s tell the truth here: if Mr and Mrs Geroni were filming the confrontation she started, it was for the purpose of creating more stupid content. Either that, or they are just plain stupid, and both things are possible. In these days of TikTok and ‘influencers’ and the like, perhaps they are making money on it.

Well, fine, let them make money on it, but let them make Canadian dollars, not our currency. They can do their part to help Make America Great Again by not being a part of it.
