Let’s tell the truth here: Western liberals are, collectively, as dumb as a box of rocks. Images of the border wall between Gaza and Egypt are all over the internet, and anyone who can use Teh Google could have looked up the fact that the Egyptian government see Hamas as just another facet of the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist group outlawed in Egypt. Egypt has been ‘helping’ with negotiations between Hamas and Israel, because Egypt still dislikes Western civilization — other than Western nations’ money that is! — but sees political Islam as a real threat. That border wall, built by Egypt, not Israel, certainly more of an impediment than the big, beautiful wall President Trump has been building between the United States and Mexico, was meant to keep ‘Palestinians’ from getting into Egypt, because Egypt sees them for what they are: nothing but radical malcontents who have caused trouble everywhere the’ve gone.
Knowing all of that, why would the #GlobalMarchToGaza think that the Egyptian government would go along with their plans?
Canadian demonstrators held, passports confiscated ahead of planned global march to Egypt-Gaza border
Thousands of demonstrators travelled to Egypt to join march to Gaza, demand aid access

More than 40 Canadians planning to participate in the global march to Gaza, alongside thousands of other foreign activists, have been detained in Egypt and had their passports confiscated by authorities, organizers told CBC News.
A group of 83 Canadians arrived in Cairo on Wednesday and Thursday, ahead of the scheduled march to Egypt’s border with Gaza, an attempt to draw attention to the deepening humanitarian crises facing Palestinians under Israel’s blockade of the war-torn territory more than 20 months after attacks began.
The Global March on Gaza was slated to be among the largest demonstrations of its kind in recent years, coinciding with other efforts, including a boat carrying activists and aid that was intercepted by Israel’s military en route to Gaza earlier this week. Thousands of demonstrators from 80 different countries gathered in Cairo this week in preparation for the march.
Tatiana Harker, a member of Palestine Vivra Montreal and march co-ordinator, said Canadians were among the thousands of demonstrators en route to Al-Arish, where they were expected to begin a three-day march toward Egypt’s Rafah crossing with Gaza to hold a peaceful demonstration there.
“A lot of people are being detained, left in the [heat] without any answers, for two to three hours,” Harker told CBC News on Friday from Montreal.
There’s more at the original. And while the story, from the Canadian Broadcasting Company, focuses on Canadians, the same has happened to citizens of several other Western nations trying to participate in this march.
At some point, it has to be asked: just how stupid are these ‘marchers’ for Gaza? They are almost entirely Western liberals, full of sympathy for the people who started the war in the first place, and outraged at the Jooooos who defended themselves, but they somehow just couldn’t grasp the fact that the Arab/Muslim nations surrounding Israel are not part of Western civilization, are not nations which respect the freedom of speech and of peaceable assembly guaranteed under our Constitution. Did they not realize, did they not actually read up on the subject, to note that the Egyptian government has fully cooperated with keeping the border with Gaza closed, because the Egyptians don’t want the ‘Palestinians’ in their country any more than anyone else?
One would think that many Westerners, including Canadians would understand that some governments do restrict speech and demonstrations, because their own government does that. Freedom of expression in Canada does not cover “hate speech,” cyberbullying, or use of the internet to disseminate harmful speech. The Canadian truckers protest against the COVID-19 restrictions resulted in criminal charges, and organizer Pat King, 47, was sentenced to three months of house arrest, and that was after he’d been given credit for nine months behind bars. Prosecutors had requested a ten year sentence.
In the United Kingdon, Adam Smith-Connor was convicted for silently praying outside of an abortion facility.
The Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court found Smith-Connor guilty of violating a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). Judge Orla Austin bizarrely ruled that his bowed head and clasped hands showed “disapproval of abortion.”
This decision sets a dangerous precedent for freedom of thought. The court handed Smith-Connor a two-year conditional discharge and a hefty fine.
The United States is probably the most protective of freedom of speech and of peaceable assembly for protest of any nation on earth. This very afternoon, the “No Kings” protests are scheduled in cities across the country, including Lexington, Asheville, and Philadelphia. Organizers want these protests to remain peaceful, but many city governments are worried that some of them will devolve into the violent anti-immigration enforcement riots such as happened in Los Angeles. Some of Philly’s Center City businesses are boarding up their windows and doors in case the Usual Suspects get out of hand.
The left who claim to be so much smarter than the rest of us should have known that the Global March to Gaza would fail, just as did St Greta’s, because the governments in the area wouldn’t allow it; anyone with an IQ above room temperature could have seen it. Perhaps, just perhaps, our good friends on the left, aren’t quite as smart as they think they are.
