With three dogs and a cat of our own, we really can’t keep her, and I’ve been trying to find someone who can take care of her. That didn’t stop me from naming her Galadriel.
Robert Stacy McCain did write yesterday, noting the complicity of the credentialed media, which he has long called Democratic operatives with bylines, in minimizing the stories of attacks on Jews in the United States:
The Mainstream Media’s Memory Hole Has Swallowed Deadly Attacks on Jews
by Robert Stacy McCain | Saturday, June 7, 2025
Barely two weeks have elapsed since left-wing activist Elias Rodriguez murdered Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim outside the Capital Jewish Museum in D.C., and it was only last Sunday that an Egyptian illegal alien, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, firebombed pro-Israel demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, leaving eight people injured, including an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor.
This is an obvious (and ominous) trend — radical terrorists are acting on the Left’s rhetoric about “globalizing the Intifada.” A mere 10 days separated these two attacks, and you might think that journalists would have some sense of civic duty to alert the public to the heightened level of danger this trend represents. Yet coverage of these incidents has swiftly disappeared from the nightly news on ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS, and from the MSNBC and CNN cable channels. Why? Because these attacks do not fit the Democratic Party’s propaganda narrative.
Democrats and their media allies have spent years hyping up the threat of “white supremacy” and “Christian nationalism,” messages intended to convince American Jews that the only threat to them is from “right-wing” (i.e., Republican) antisemites, with Donald Trump being the alleged manifestation of this existential menace. This propaganda narrative is contradicted when the people actually trying to kill Jews are a radical from Chicago named Rodriguez and an Egyptian named Mohamed.
We were initially told that it was “too soon” to call Mr Soliman’s attack as targeted terrorism:
The FBI called it a targeted terrorist attack but Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said at a news conference a little over two hours after the attack that it was too early in the investigation to make that determination.
Mr McCain noted that it hasn’t been our nation’s newspaper of record, the good Grey Lady, The New York Times, which has been pursuing the story:
It is from the New York Post — and not from the Times — that we learn about the organized support for anti-Jewish terrorism:
There’s much more at Mr McCain’s original, which is not behind a paywall.
Then, on Saturday morning, I encountered this on Bluesky — I check Bluesky so you don’t have to — from The Philadelphia Inquirer’s hard-left columnist, the #TrumpDerangementSyndrome infected Will Bunch:
What happened yesterday should radicalize you
The LA ICE raid was full-on fascism
The Abrego Garcia case is an abomination. We have a government that concocts charges against anyone it doesn’t like, and pardons any criminal that supports Trump. And they are just getting started
Free Kilmar!
We have previously noted the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and how the Democrats have begin backing off as the stories of Mr Abrego Garcia’s (alleged) scumbag criminal life became public:
Democrats rallying around illegal immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia are facing a narrative reckoning as allegations of violent and criminal behavior mount against the man they made a poster child in the fight against President Trump’s mass deportations.
In recent weeks, evidence has emerged that Abrego Garcia beat his wife and was caught trafficking migrants during his time living illegally in Maryland. He has since been deported to El Salvador, where several Democrats, including Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, have rushed to meet with him and decry what they say was a lack of due process extended to him.
“The fact that they went to the mat for this guy just shows exactly who they are,” Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said on “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Saturday. “That they are people who don’t put America first. They don’t care about our citizens and protecting our communities. So, I’m glad that the onion’s been peeled back and that their true motivations have been revealed, and this is just one of the cases that we’re getting off the streets.”
Van Hollen has led the surge of Democrats traveling to El Salvador since April, after Abrego Garcia was deported to the country in March and sent to its notoriously high-security prison equipped to handle violent gang members, known as CECOT. The Trump administration has repeatedly cited court and police documents showing that the El Salvadoran man was not only in the U.S. illegally, but also connected to the MS-13 gang and that his wife had sounded the alarm to police about his violence.
The distinguished Inquirer columnist didn’t temper his words with caution, but put out that “We have a government that concocts charges against anyone it doesn’t like,” trying to influence his readers to believe that Mr Abrego Garcia is really as pure as the wind-driven snow and the charges against him are trumped up nonsense, and then continued with “Free Kilmar!”
Mr Bunch, like the rest of our good friends on the left have a rather consistent history of championing the wrong people. Michael Brown of Ferguson, Missouri, turned out to be exactly the kind of thug that was said about him, a physically large teen who had roughed up a convenience store owner in a robbery just a few minutes before he was killed, and stupid enough to attack the police officer who was trying to question him. George Floyd turned out to be a fentanyl-and-methamphetamine-addled, previously convicted felon, who was resisting arrest for trying to buy things with counterfeit money. Breonna Taylor was connected to a notorious drug dealer. Trayvon Martin physically attacked and assaulted George Zimmerman.
The saying that bad causes attract bad people — consider that the people trying to defend the Kenosha riots from a good person in Kyle Rittenhouse were previously convicted criminals — but we need to consider that bad people celebrate bad causes, bad people want bad causes. Mr Bunch is certainly well educated enough, and he has constant access to reporting in the media, yet he is still trying to make a hero out of Mr Abrego Garcia, just as he was trying to with Luigi Mangione.
Have you noticed? The people the left use to push their bad causes are bad people themselves. St George of Floyd had multiple criminal convictions, mostly misdemeanors, but that one big violent felony in his past as well. He had run away from his family in Texas and was a deadbeat dad, not paying child support. He was a drug addict, with several incidents involving drug intoxication in Minneapolis before his death, and was high on fentanyl and methamphetamines when he died.
It seems that all of the heroes of the left are rotten people, which raises the obvious question: if there are no good and decent people among the left’s causes, could it be because there are no good and decent people who can become their latest cause célèbre? Perhaps, just perhaps, good and decent people don’t do the stupid s(tuff) that inflames our good friends on the left!
