No matter how much you hate the credentialed media, you do not hate them enough!

You know, I get it: everyone wants to keep his job, no matter how royally he f(ornicated) up! As we have previously noted, the credentialed media have been trying their d(arnedest) to blame their almost total lack of coverage of thankfully former President Joe Biden’s declining physical and mental health not on their own failures to be actual journalists, but on Mr Biden’s inner circle and staff of paid flunkies to tell them the truth. How naïve do the reporters and editors have to be to think that people whose jobs and positions depended on Mr Biden remaining in office would tell other people that their boss was losing it?

Well, apparently the Editorial Board of The Washington Post want you to think that they were stunned by events!

If Biden was too frail for his job, voters should have been informed

Transparency is essential for democratic processes to operate as intended.

Former president Joe Biden’s announcement that he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer is a sad reminder that none of us, even the mightiest, is immune to the illnesses that arrive with age. Americans rightly wish for him a successful treatment.

The timing of this news is particularly difficult, coming just as CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios journalist Alex Thompson release “Original Sin,” their chronicle of Biden’s cognitive decline. They describe how his mental slips accumulated during his presidency, leading to his disastrous performance last June at a debate with Donald Trump, and his subsequent exit from the presidential race.

Biden is owed respect for his decades of public service. But the office he held must be respected, too, and this is why, despite his latest malady, the public conversation must continue about his — and all other presidents’ — fitness for office.

Let’s tell the truth here: Republicans and Democrats alike will withhold potentially harmful-to-their-man information if they can. Almost no photographs exist of President Franklin Roosevelt in his wheelchair, and we certainly weren’t told about President John Kennedy’s Addison’s Disease. Quite frankly, if President Biden had been diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier than has been announced — and the current cockamamie claim is that he hadn’t been given a Prostate Specific Antigen test since 2014 — that’s the kind of thing which is usually not debilitating. But the Editorial Board, grasping at straws as the professional journolists are, are using this as the takeoff point for their ridiculous self-defense.

Further down:

It now seems that, for a considerable time, Biden might have lacked the stamina and cognitive capacity the job demands — and that his family and closest aides concealed this from the public. Their apparent decision to put personal loyalties ahead of their duty to the country must be reckoned with. A legal mechanism should be considered to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

The people closest to Biden could hardly have avoided observing his infirmity — indeed, the actions they took to hide it indicate that they knew all too well. Early issues surfaced in the 2020 campaign, when he had memory lapses, including forgetting the name of one of his closest advisers and the opening lines to the Declaration of Independence. A Democrat interviewed by Tapper and Thompson who was involved in making Zoom videos of Biden speaking to constituents during the pandemic lockdown said that, after watching hours of mostly unusable footage, they concluded he was incapable of doing the job.

Really? Conservatives had seen that, and raised holy Hell about it, for years, but somehow, some way, either not a single reporter for the credentialed media in New York or Washington noticed that, or, if any of them had noticed and wanted to report on it, they were shot down by their editors. So, now Messrs Tapper and Thompson are blaming Mr Biden’s minions for not answering questions truthfully, and the media just dropping it.

Did Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein just blithely accept President Richard Nixon’s hired help telling them that everything was peaches but the cream? Did Katherine Graham and Ben Bradlee tell their reporters to back off the story?

The editorial continues to make suggestions as to how things might be better done, to get reliable reports on the President’s health to the voters, and how to handle a President becoming infirm in the middle of his term. But the Editorial Board for one of America’s great newspapers of record never suggested that maybe their own reporters ought to do a better f(ornicating) job of uncovering the truth!

The reason the Post went after President Nixon and covered up for President Biden is simple: Mr Nixon was a Republican while Mr Biden is a Democrat! Now with Republican Donald Trump in office, we can count on the Post, and the rest of the credentialed media, to chase down every rumor, every slip, every bit of anything bad they can find, on Mr Trump, because “Democracy Dies in Darkness,” remember?

But really, we owe the credentialed media, Jill Biden, and all of the Biden’s minions a debt of gratitude which can never be fully repaid.

If Biden had admitted his difficulties and stepped out of the running for the 2024 election, the Democratic Party would have been able to select a stronger candidate via competitive primaries. This is the way the system is designed to work. Covering up reality undermines it.

By covering up Mr Biden’s “difficulties,” the Democrats and the media helped keep the nor former President in the re-election campaign until the disastrous “debate,” and a few weeks after that. By then, there was no way the Democrats could recover, and they were stuck with Vice President Kamala Harris Emhoff, a poor candidate, trying to pick up the pieces, and that helped Mr Trump win the election.

More, the “Big Guy’s” vanity, and that of his wife, and their unabated lust for power, kept the President from resigning early. There’s no way to know, but the election might have turned out differently had the contest been between President Emhoff rather than Vice President Emhoff, and former President Trump.

Everything they did, they did wrong! In the end, our nation is better off because of it.
